For in-house legal counsel and compliance professionals within the Aerospace and Defense sector

The Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry has long been the subject of intense scrutiny from a compliance perspective.  In particular, A&D companies have been put under the spotlight regarding their management of compliance risks arising under the FCPA and other anti-corruption laws, export controls, and trade sanctions.  Other risks and challenges for A&D companies have emerged in recent years, however, notably in the areas of the False Claims Act, cybersecurity, data privacy, global mobility, antitrust, and doing business in the volatile  Middle East, a vital but difficult market for A&D companies.

Baker & McKenzie would like to invite you to attend an inaugural workshop in Washington, DC on October 31 with representatives of other A&D companies to discuss the compliance challenges you face and risk mitigation strategies.

We are delighted that Ian Brzezinski will be joining us to deliver a keynote speech and share his thoughts on the current global security challenges facing the United States and their implications for US defense policy and companies in the A&D industry.  Mr. Brzezinski currently leads the Brzezinski Group, LLC, a strategic advisory firm serving U.S. and international commercial clients. He also is currently a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council of the United States. He previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Europe and NATO Policy from 2001 to 2005.
