Episode 33: European Electronic Communications Code and the TMT Sector

The European Commission opened infringement procedures against 24 member states on 4 February 2020, for failure to transpose the European Electronic Communications Code. In this episode, Raffaele Giarda discusses the implementation statuses of Sweden, Poland, and Germany with Jennie Nilsson, Joachim Scherer, and Radoslaw Nozykowski. Discussion also focuses on how infraction proceedings will affect the relevant processes and measures in each country. In addition, our industry experts outline the challenges and opportunities that TMT businesses need to consider in the face of this new law, and how it can transform the telecommunications landscape.
