Curtis Masters is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Almaty office. He practices in the areas of corporate finance, telecommunications, privatization and general corporate law. From 1993 to 1994, Curtis practiced in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia as special legal counsel to Gov. Boris Nemtsov. He also was a special legal advisor to the regional offices of Russia’s Federal Agency for Insolvency and Federal State Property Committee. Curtis serves as co-chairman of the Legal Working Group of President Nazarbayev’s Investors Council, and has published numerous articles about investment issues concerning Central Asia.
