In Azerbaijan, the Laws on Amendment to the Law on Antimonopoly Activity and on Amendment to the Criminal Code came into force which introduced the concept of cartel agreements into Azerbaijan’s antimonopoly legislation.
Gunduz Karimov is the managing partner in Baker McKenzieBaker McKenzie’s Baku office and a member of the Firm’s Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare practice groups. Prior to joining the Firm in 2002, Mr. Karimov spent over two years working for the Baku Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Mr. Karimov has been teaching courses in private international law and international intellectual property at the School of Law of Baku State University since 2000, and served as a deputy dean of the School of Law from September 2011 to October 2014. In October 2014, Mr. Karimov was appointed the Head of the Maritime and Energy Law Centre of Baku State University. He has been a registered trademark attorney since 2007.
