On 7 April 2022, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) resolved the matter of unconstitutionality, filed by a parliamentary group of the Senate, against the modifications to the Electric Industry Law, published on 9 March 2021. The precedent created by the resolution of the unconstitutionality action by the SCJN, could be relied upon by the District Courts and the Collegiate Courts when ruling in amparo trials.

On 11 March 2022, Supplementary Law #192 introduced the single-stage ICMS tax regime on transactions involving fuels. This new law aims to reduce the final customer’s tax burden on transactions involving the following fuels: gasoline, anhydrous ethanol fuel, diesel, biodiesel, liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas. Moreover, Supplementary Law #192 temporally reduces to zero the PIS and COFINS rates on transactions involving the above-mentioned fuels until 31 December 2022, without affecting the accrual of credits.

On 7 April 2022, the Public Registry of the City of Buenos Aires issued General Resolution No. 4/2022, which establishes certain requirements to evidence the accuracy of the legal domicile fixed by simplified stock corporations at the time of registration or when moving the same.

Certain importers may continue to use prohibited adhesives
Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y de la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual Commission on Dumping, Subsidies and Non-Tariff Trade Barriers has granted the interim measure requested by various importers of industrialized food and beverages and the Chamber of Commerce of Lima to allow the use of adhesives for the posting of advertising warnings on said imported products. See Resolution No. 012-2022/CDB-INDECOPI.

Resolution No. 570/2022 , issued by the National Communications Authority, was published in the Official Gazette on 31 March 2022. The Resolution establishes that news signals that are mandatory for the subscription of television services must include additional visual communication media that uses sign language and closed captioning.

On 31 March 2022, the Investigating Authority of the Federal Economic Competition Commission published notice of the initiation of an investigation, into the retail electronic commerce market in Mexico. The investigation is to identify, and where appropriate, determine the possible existence of barriers to free market access, barriers to the competition, and/or essential inputs, that could create anti-competitive effects in the Market Under Investigation.

On 23 March 2022, the Investigating Authority of the Federal Economic Competition Commission published notice of the initiation of an investigation, for the alleged vertical restrictive practices in the market of production, distribution and commercialization of domestic insecticides in Mexico.
